The Leonardo Guitar Research Project
promotes the use of non-tropical woods in acoustic guitar making, something I have been keen on for years and I am delighted to have been asked to become a partner. This beautiful ASAP CAW has a back and sides of Irish walnut, a top of red cedar with binding of Irish fiddleback sycamore. The bolt on neck is maple with laminates of Irish walnut with a fingerboard , bridge and headstock veneer of Irish walnut too. So it is a Leonardo guitar. Looks great and plays beautifully with the typical balance across the strings that the ASAP model has. There is a Highlander pickup and preamp fitted if you want to plug in.
This guitar is now sold but I could make something similar to your specification. Contact me
if this interests you.
